Six Nations Championship 2008 Team Guide

The Six Nations in 2008 shall be somewhat of an anti climax following the Rugby World Cup which will have lead to many countries going through somewhat of a shakeout after disappointing displays where the southern hemisphere teams dominated throughout and the sic nations sides were just playing for best of the rest.

England
England have just not found their feet following winning the 2003 Rugby World Cup and the 2008 Six Nations will see the England side start the rebuilding process after getting over run by the top sides and after 2003 when they looked like dominating for many years they have taken a big step backwards and many changes will be made and this six nations will just be the start of a new set up hoping to recapture their form of the early 2000s.

After a shock in the opener of the Rugby World Cup France got their campaign on track and looked dangerous once again and were the best of the Northern hemisphere teams but they just could not show the consistency to go all the way but will be leading contenders to win the Six Nations in 2008.

Wales
Wales did just about what we would have expected in the World Cup and the six nations once again for them will be hit or miss they can be dangerous especially at home and may cause a few surprises once again a make a challenge for the six nations title.

Ireland
Ireland were many peoples picks for the Rugby World Cup but they just never fired and went back to the emerald isle with their tails between their legs and will be looking to recapture some form in the 2008 six nations.

We can only expect the Scots to once again try and avoid the wooden spoon as they are really struggling at present to compete against the other six nations teams except for Italy.

Having done well in the 2007 Six Nations they very brushed aside in the Rugby World Cup and their objective will be to get back the form that saw them win two games in the 2007 Six Nations.
