Bookmakers Report Record Six Nations Betting Turnover
British and Irish bookmakers are reporting that they expect this year's Six Nations Championship to surpass all previous betting records for the total amount staked on the tournament.
With three of the five rounds already been played in this year's competition, many of the big online betting firms have rpeorted increased levels of interest on both the match betting and outright winners.
France and England started the tournament as favourites but Wales's impressive form has seen Warren Gatland's men occupy the top spot in the betting with just two games to go. However, with Wales facing a tough trip to Croke Park to take on Ireland this weekend it could be an interesting final weekend.
England and France both are both expected to win against Scotland and Italy respectively this weekend, which would mean betting on tournament could explode in the week leading up to the final round of games with the possibility that 4 teams could be in with a chance of lifting the Six Nations Championship - what's more, England take on Ireland at Twickenham whislt Wales entertain France in Cardiff in the last games which will only add to the excitement.
