Tom Croft, Danny Cipriani and Lee Mears have all been hand places in the England starting XV to face Scotland at Murrayfield on Staurday. Fly-half Cipriani replaices Iain Balshaw who has to settle for a place on the bench following indifferent form in the Six Nations thus far. Flanker Tom Croft repalces James Haskell who injured himself during England's emphatic victory over France and has faied to recover. The other change sees Bath hooker Lee Mears come in for Mark Regan.
England coach Brian Ashton explained the reason for Cipriani's inclusion was to add stability to the back saying "We're just looking for a little bit more stability and control at the back than we had in France and hopefully Danny's going to be able to give that".
England must win this Calcutta cup game in order to keep any hopes of winning the Six Nations Championship alive. They still have to play Ireland at Twickenham in the final game.
