Six Nations Rugby Union Grand Slam
The Grand Slam as it is known is when one of the Six Nations Teams wins all their matches in the six nation's season. This is becoming harder to do as most of the teams are pretty closely matched and it is always difficult to beat the stronger nations away from home as there will be always two very tough matches to get through to win the Grand Slam.
The Grand Slam was first contested when France entered in 1910 with England leading the Grand Slam table with 12 wins followed by Wales on 10 and France on 8.
England had a fantastic grand Slam performance in 2003 when England demolished Ireland by 42-6 to secure their first Grand Slam in eight years and in a very special year that saw them win the Rugby World Cup also.
