England Six Nations Fixtures

England Rugby Union Six Nations Guide

England have always been up there and in contention for honours in the six nations tournament and each year they tend to be one of the teams to beat and history also highlights this a 23% success rate in this competition which is just ahead of France and Wales.

The English home venue is Twickenham and has a massive 80,000 capacity but for many of the major games each year it is difficult to get hold of six nations tickets for their home matches.

England have had more ups than downs and their ups have more to do with key England Legends and in recent times Will Carling will go down in history a one of these Legends and his years were saw Grand Slam wins in 1990 and 1991 and he also was captain for the World Cup in 1991 and England managed to get to the final but were beaten by Australia by six points.

Once again Carling showed supremacy in 1992 with another great of the recent English game in Jeremy Guscott who was a fantastic player for England. Another top England player at this time was Rob Andrew who helped England to beat the Australians in the 1995 quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup.

But the best was yet to come for England as a new professional approach came to Northern Hemisphere Rugby and the England team were taking all before them in the lead up to the 2003 Rugby World Cup with the likes of Martin Johnson and Jonny Wilkinson in the line up and everyone will remember the drop-goal in extra-time to bring the Webb Ellis trophy back to England.
