England picked up where they left off in the World Cup Semi Final by putting in a much improved Six Nations performance to defeat France in Paris by 24-13.
The England defence held up firm once again to stop the French from stamping their authority on this game. It was Paul Sackey who put England in control of the game in the first half before France responded with a try from Nallet.
With England leading at the interval, France upped the tempo in the second half but England's defence remained committed a tough unit to break down, having previously letting slip first half leads in the previous two Six Nations games.
France soon began to look tired and void of ideas as the game wore on before debutant Scrum Half Richard Wigglesworth secured the England victory in the closing stages.
